Frequently Asked Questions
What colour can I change my item to?
All colours are custom mixed in-house, allowing for a wide range of shades to be achieved. While most colours are possible, certain material limitations apply to ensure a refined, professional finish and the long-term integrity of the item.
Leather & Vegan Leather
We recommend avoiding colour changes to a significantly lighter shade than the original (for example, black to white). Achieving this would require excessive coating, which can compromise the leather’s original look and feel. To preserve texture and quality, colour applications are limited to a maximum of three coats.
Patent Leather
Patent leather must be dyed to a darker colour. Existing dark marks or surface staining cannot be concealed with lighter tones, and deeper shades are more effective in achieving an even result. Suitable colours include darker and earthy tones such as black, brown, oxblood, grey, deep purple, and navy.
Suede
Suede is dyed rather than coated. As a result, any existing imperfections may remain visible through the dye. Darker colours generally provide a more consistent and even finish.
How long will the colour last?
As with all leather goods, wear over time is expected. For leather items, scuffs or scratches may reveal the original colour beneath the surface. For this reason, we recommend adding a Colour Pen for minor touch-ups or arranging periodic maintenance depending on frequency of use.
For patent leather and suede, colour change is permanent. Suede may fade gradually over time due to wear and UV exposure.
This service restores and transforms your item, but it does not make it impervious to wear. All items should continue to be treated with care.
How long will the service take?
Colour change services typically take 2–3 weeks, depending on the complexity of the item, material, and colour work required. Each piece is completed with care and restraint rather than speed.
If you have a specific deadline, please note this at the time of enquiry. While we will always do our best to accommodate timing requests, completion dates cannot be guaranteed.
