Where did you study art or how did you train?:

Self taught - Grandfather was an artist, I guess it runs in the family!

Who are your biggest artistic influences?

Life itself.

How would you describe your artistic style?:

Colourful, simple, contemporary

What themes or subjects do you most frequently explore in your art work?:

I experience vivid dreams and visions through meditation, and my pieces generally tell a story to reflect this.

Do you have a memorable story or experience related to your art?:

I visited the National Gallery of Victoria vault Collection under supervision to visit my late Grandfathers artwork. It solidified to me that creating art for a living, was infact my destined path in life.

Tell us about your first painted ArtBag. What was the inspiration behind this piece. What did you most and least enjoy about working on it?:

ArtBag is an exciting and intriguing concept to me, it merges two expression modalities- fashion and art. I love it! Admittedly, the medium was challenging for me, as I have never painted on leather. I am super grateful however, for the opportunity to have expanded my experience with different materials.

Britney Turner chose to custom paint our vintage Furla bag in yellow. This 90’s style bag comes with textured lizard print leather. Why not add Britney Turners ArtBag to your collection today - available to purchase in our shop or book her for a one-to-one commission on your own handbag.
